Sitting as the official start of The Pennine Way, The Old Nags Head will catch your eye immediately. The style of our pub is one like you don’t see in the modern day – dating back to 1577 you will want to take a second to take in everything that we have to offer! Inside you will find a beautifully warming fire amongst the several different rooms and snugs throughout the pub. Take a seat in cosy tap bar and soak up the vibrant atmosphere.
The Old Nags Head in Edale boasts two delightful cottages looking over the beautiful Edale countryside which will make you wish you never had to leave. Kinder Cottage and Grindsbrook Cottage, named after local walks and areas in the Edale Valleys, provide ramblers a fantastic place to stay and enjoy everything Edale has to offer.
Alongside the delightful modern décor and wonderful views you have one of the top 20 walking pubs in the UK on your doorstep and nothing is too much for our staff!
Both cottages boast great views of the surrounding countryside, alongside offering a modern, comfortable lounge with a flat-screen TV and a sofa. We also provide a fully equipped kitchen, fresh linen and towels upon request.
Kinder Cottage is a compact and delightful cottage sleeping four: 1 double, 1 single and 1 sofa bed in the lounge area. This is a great cottage for small family visits or even couple visits. What a fantastic location to spend some quality time with the loved ones.
Grindsbrook Cottage sleeps five: 1 double, 1 twin (bunk) and a sofa bed. This cottage is great for family visits and can accept small/medium, well-behaved dogs so you can make this cottage a home from home for your stay!
